FIRST RESPONDERS
Firefighters, Paramedics, and EMT’s are the first heroes to show up and risk there lives when our homes or businesses are compromised or
when we are involved in an accident or injury. THEY SAVE LIVES!
These brave, highly trained and skilled individuals climb into burning building, rescue us from road accidents and save us when we have any
type of emergency medical problem.
The three nominated First Responder organizations provide services and financial assistance to all emergency personnel, including but not
limited to firefighters, medical personel, volunteers, ambulance drivers, EMT’s, paramedics within the United States who have been injured,
or face serious injury due to action or omission, in the course of their duties or within their everyday lives.
Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation was founded in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Firehouse Subs co-founders, Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen, traveled to Mississippi where they fed first responders as well as survivors. Our mission is to impact the lifesaving capabilities, and the lives, of local heroes and their communities.
First Responders Children’s Foundation provides financial support to both children who have lost a parent in the line of duty as well as families enduring significant financial hardships due to tragic circumstances. First Responders Children’s Foundation also supports, promotes, and facilitates educational activities and programs created and operated by law enforcement and firefighting organizations whose purpose is to benefit children or the community at large.
Our mission is to assist all emergency personnel, including but not limited to, firefighters, police officers, nurses, volunteers, sanitation workers, transportation workers and construction workers, within the United States who have been injured, or face serious injury due to action or omission, in the course of their duties or within their everyday lives. The mission of the FGF includes educating elected officials and private entities on the various problems, concerns and issues faced by First Responders in their everyday duties
